He Wants It All

Nothing should come between or even before God and you. No matter the situation or person they should yield to Him, not Him to them. Anything/anyone that does come in between you all's relationship, is regarded as "Temptation" because it tries to take the place of God by tempting you that it is better the more you give into it. Truth is, that just like us God wants our attention just as bad as we want him to speak to us. Whatever comes between our relationship with Him is a threat that should be immediately taken out of the loop. God gets jealous just like we would when loved ones channel their love towards someone/something else. If we fail to remove that obstruction then we are cutting off all blessings that are sent down from above. Before you ever get mad at God, ask yourself "is there anything that gets more attention today than He did"? If so then you've got to check yourself and make sure God receives the attention first whether through simple prayer or actions. God wants your all. He wants it all today.
