Proverbs 11:7
Hope can't be held by human hand.
I have learned a very valuable lesson lately. We as a people often place hope in the hands of others sometimes knowingly or unknowingly. In this world there are many people who simply cannot be trusted. So in those that we do find trust, we attempt to place powers and hope in them that were never there to start. For instance, heros, problem solvers, doctors and other impressive minds are always looked at in a way of high honor. Truth is they are just as human as we are. Celebrities, Musicians, Artists, and other famous people are placed on high pedestal only to disappoint. The only one worthy and consecutive of being put on this pedestal is God. Hope can't be held by human hand. No matter how awesome the person may be, they are powerless as an individual. Never place hope in their hands. They will die right along with the hope you placed in them. Maybe you know a person who you really love or respect. Maybe you admire them from afar. Keep it that way. Never hold them up high to worship, instead hold them low to examine them. They are only as powerful as you yourself. Hope can't be held by human hand.
