Psalm 51:12-13
"Restore us so that we may teach restoration to those who transgress us."
This should be included daily in our prayers. God is a forgiving God, but he also uses forgiveness to teach us and those who do not serve Him.
God restores us for two reasons: for correction and teaching.
We sin and we must approach Him through prayer asking to be forgiving and repent of the sin.
God forgives us, but he also teaches us to teach others. We must testify his glory and love by telling others how he forgave us of our sins. We as Christians teach by example not solely by commandment. People are willing to accept Christ when they see the good He has done in our lives not just the good done in His word (the bible).
Many of us are scared of transparency. We treat transparency as vulnerability, when in actuality we are vulnerable no matter what! Being transparent with others reveals how we tick-not what our next move may be. It presents not foreshadows. Be transparent with others about your spiritual battles. God will see to it that you are protected from harm.
Next time we are witnessing, boldly give testimony of your own struggles and triumphs that God has made in your life. This testimony and transparency may help to save another brother or sister!
May He increase your Blessings and decrease your burdens!
