Love is called many names today. Love is degraded, put upon a pedestal for those to admire but not reach for. Love is used loosley and meaning for Love has grown tangled within other definitions and/or words. Love was known a long time ago but has since then been forgotten. Love is now a shell of its former meaning; a mask to those who abuse it. Love is now used to cover up what is truly lust and sin. Love has become the scapegoat for failures of different relationships. Love is now defined by mostly physical attraction.
Everyone wants what they can't have. What they dream about. What their fantasies concist of. What others may tell them is best for them. When they finally get that and attach themselves to that person, they call it Love. Sadly to say, that isn't Love nor were the rest of the descriptions above.
God Is Love. God allows us to Love.
1Corinthians 13:4 says:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud."
Love in itself is not possible without God Himself. God created Love when He finished making Adam. Love is solely produced by God. Not lust. Not emotions. Not sex. Not even by how long you've been with your signifigant other. God knows who you want and who you need. Physically, Spiritually, Emotionally, Financially and many other attributes. God created all of us and has planned a specific person for us if we just trust in Him.
Love is patient= God is patient to allow the right time to bring that special individual before you
Love is Kind= God is kind and knows who is the right match for you. He has someone who is beautiful to the soul, mind, and body.
Love does not Envy= God does not pick the right person for you. He creates the right person for you. What seems to work for everyone else will not work for you necessarily. God will not apply what has been previously used, towards you.
Love does not boast= God will not boast to you who He has created for you. He allows that person into your life unknowingly and you will be totally unaware.
Love is not proud= God is not prideful in the person He has made for you. Pride is dangerously great; He wants that person He has made for each of us to be well in reach of us. Slightly above or below us. Not exceedingly too much or too little.
When you allow others to define Love to you, you allow them to fool you with who Love truly is. Love isn't found in other human beings, it is found in God. Seek Ye first, and you shall find.
(Proverbs 6:23-25)
