Psalms 55:1-23
These are trying times we live in:
Everyday morals, laws, and commandments are tested and broken. Fundamentals are rewritten, revamped, and watered down. Justice is perverted, reconstructed and manipulated. There has not been one single Law, Order, Commandment or piece of Justice that we have allowed to be manipulated.
This didn't happen overnight. It took time for these individuals to take power and spread perversion. They come in and claim our foundations unstable. And we gladly let them do this. We don't stand. We don't hold. We all break.
These are trying times we live in.
David experienced in this passage frustration, confusion, and discouragement. His enemies had came to take what was God's. His enemies were once his allies. He knew many of them very well, but not well enough. David felt outnumbered.
A lot of Christians today can relate to David in this territory.
We have been pressed but not crushed. Smitten but not smitten. Raped but not impregnated. Fallen but not defeated.
Get up.
Stand up.
Our rights, beliefs, and commandments are the same as God's. The enemy wages war not only with us but with God. God is also an angry and jealous God of wrath. Gladly fight for what's right and He will back you up. I will back you up. And many others will back you up.
These are trying times! Everyday morals, laws, and commandments are tested and broken. Justice is perverted. Our friend has become our enemy. We are fallen, but not defeated. Are you standing up or sitting down for what is right?
